No, but any product with active ingredients can lose a bit of their effectiveness over time if exposed to intense heat and light. For this reason its best to store your AO away from continuous direct sunlight.
AO works the same on all species of plants, however; sick plants will benefit from an extra dose of AO. As a general rule, feed your plants weekly. If you notice that a plant is not responding or is dying, up your feeding cycle to two or three times a week.
